In my example with a production of 100 barrels, suppose the royalties are 20%, does that mean that EBY gets the revenue of 40 barrels? Thank you for following up and continue your excellent work.keyboard_arrow_downShow Post

Calgary, Alberta (FSCwire) - Emerald Bay Energy Inc. (TSX Venture: EBY) (the “Company” or “Emerald Bay”) is pleased to provide the following update on the Kuhn 4 and Kuhn 3 wells at the Company’s Wooden Horse project in Southwest Texas.

With the recent successful results in drilling and testing the Kuhn A5 well, the Company has begun moving forward with the following operations:

  • Kuhn 4 was re-entered and perforated in the Austin Chalk formation earlier this week, and then stimulated with acid.  The well is currently flowing unassisted and over the past 48 hours the well and has produced over 300 bbls of fluid.  Our technical team estimates that the well will produce approximately 1200 bbls per day of total fluid with a 10% oil cut.  The existing pumpjack is now being replaced with an Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) to increase flow rates.

  • Kuhn 3 will now be re-entered and stimulated with acid as the well has been producing unstimulated to date.  We will then deploy an ESP in Kuhn 3 to increase the flow rates.  As Kuhn 3 is 40 feet high to Kuhn 4 our technical team anticipates similar, if not better results to Kuhn 4.

The Kuhn A5, Kuhn 4, and Kuhn 3 wells confirm the Austin Chalk as the primary target at Wooden Horse and the Buda formation will be developed after depleting the Austin Chalk.

Commented Shelby D. Beattie, President and CEO, “Having invested over $1,000,000 in our production facilities, including our salt water disposal well, we have the capability to produce high fluid volume wells as we move forward with our development of the Wooden Horse property.”

It's getting harder and harder to get answers here. It's a shame because I really like this company. Maybe a member of 8020 can help me understand what it means when they mention that EBY owns a 50.00% working interest in those projects. For example, when a Wooden Horse well produces 100 barrels of oil a day, is it just the 50 barrel revenue that will appear in EBY's financial results? I'm sure someone here can answer that. Thank you!keyboard_arrow_downShow Post

Good morning Mike. I understand that I will not get an answer for the production of Kuhn 4 and that the company will provide the information as it becomes available. It's good for me. Now, what can you tell us about the work that needs to be done to put Kuhn 1H back into service? Are the works started? Thank you and have a nice day. We look forward to the results of Kuhn A5 ... and Kunh 4 ... and Kuhn 1H ... It will be an exciting summer !!!

Hi Mike and thank you for taking the time to come and talk to investors and shareholders. You mention the successful results at Kuhn 3 and Kuhn 4 and the pending results of Kunh A5. Unless I missed something, it seems to me that the results of Kuhn 4 are not yet disclosed. What can you tell us about the production result of Kuhn 4? Thank you and have a good day. Louis

Mike Rice posted an update inEMERALD BAY ENERGY INC

Good morning to all the EBY Group members, I thought that it would be beneficial to discuss the significance of the last two news releases over the past 3 trading sessions. 1.) The land acquisition of an additional 134 acres adjacent to the Kuhn lease could be very valuable to the Company as our technical staff believes this acreage to be on trend with the wells we have recently drilled. With the successful results to date at Kuhn 3 and Kuhn 4, and with results still pending at the recently drilled Kuhn A5 well, it made sense that we quickly acquire these adjacent lands for further exploration targets. 2.) The other recent news announcement, that our largest shareholder has agreed to convert his company’s loan to Emerald Bay to shares at a price premium to the market ($0.05/share), is a significant vote of confidence from Mr. Wagenaar in the Company’s ability to further the development of the Wooden Horse and PRI plays in Texas. This debt to equity conversion reduces the burden of repaying almost $1,000,000 thereby allowing us to use future production revenues to accelerate exploration and development plans in Texas, to the benefit of all shareholders. Should any of the group members have further questions of me, please feel to ask. Anything that I am able to answer, I will on a timely basis. Thank you all for your continued support Mike Rice, CFO

Calgary, Alberta (FSCwire) - Emerald Bay Energy Inc.  (TSX Venture: EBY) (the “Company” or “Emerald Bay”) is pleased to announce the addition of Matt Heroy and Jason Geiger to the Company’s technical advisory team in  South Texas.   Over the past ten years Mr. Heroy and Mr. Geiger were responsible for field operations at producing properties in the Salt Flat Field within close proximity to Emerald Bay’s Wooden Horse project.  During their time at Salt Flat, Mr. Heroy and Mr. Geiger were in charge of operations, field production, and efficiency where they oversaw production rate increases from 50 boe/d to over 3,500 boe/d at the property’s peak.   Mr. Heroy will now be in charge of day-to-day field operations at Emerald Bay’s South Texas properties.  Mr. Geiger’s expertise in horizontal drilling, completion, and production operations will be crucial to the company’s success as we expand in Guadalupe and Caldwell counties.  Both are a welcome addition to our technical team of Andy Alff (Geologist), Phil Lakin (Geophysicist), and Bill Locklear (Engineer).

Hello Mike. I do not know these people but I can read your enthusiasm as they join the EBY team. With a WTI that exceeds $ 71, it really becomes very exciting and promising. Since I do not know much about the oil industry, I will allow myself a question. In some cases, you are doing work on wells and you are able to provide production results quickly after 48 hours. For other wells, even after several weeks, the production results are still not known. In general, what are the elements or factors that come into play that allow or do not allow the production results to be provided? Thank you and continue your excellent work. I really like your company. Louiskeyboard_arrow_downShow Post

Louis Paul commented on patfest  update in EMERALD BAY ENERGY INC

As the news is scarce in recent weeks, contrary to what we have been used to, we have to imagine scenarios. The financial results as at 31 December 2017 are unlikely to meet investors' expectations, considering that the very good news began to appear only at the end of the year. I think the whole EBY group is working hard to finalize the work on some wells to show that the year 2018 will definitely be better. In one of his many communications, Mike mentioned that Imhoff 1 needed only a new pump to restart production. And he also mentioned that they had imminent plans for Kuhn 1H and Poenitz 1 and 2. The results of Kuhn 4 will soon be released, in addition to the start of drilling for Kuhn 5 and 6. All this should be very positive on the SP. Hope this is the strategy they are working on.

It's disconcerting to see Mr. Wagenaar sell so many shares, but if you have a chance to look further down the SEDI report, you can see he has bought over 125 million at .01 cent! Who can blame him for taking some off the top? Looking forward to the Statement of Reserves. It's been a while since we've had an update. Though compared to most other companies, mikerice , you have been doing a great job of communicating. But you may have created an expectation we hear EBY news from you more often. So, what's new?
